Free Concert at Island Park, Williamsville - 2014-Aug-19

The Friends of Harmony are proud to be part of the Village of Williamsville's "7 Tuesdays in the Park" summer concert series on Tuesday night, August 19th at Island Park at 6:30.   Bring your lawn chairs and come out and enjoy the music of the sixties sung in 4 part harmony by Western NY’s premiere all male a cappella chorus and quartets.  Enter a raffle and have your sweetheart serenaded by an authentic Barbershop Quartet live on stage! All donations will go to support the Jacob Murphy Fund.  

Jacob Murphy is a young student from Amherst who was in a life threatening accident last summer.  In fact the concert will mark the one year anniversary of that tragic event.   The progress he has made since then has been nothing short of miraculous but his physical therapy continues. This performance, which was made possible by a grant from the Town of Amherst Art and Culture in Public Places committee, is an opportunity to lend support to the Murphy family.   The Friends of Harmony will be accepting a freewill cash offering from concert goers to be turned over to the Murphy family to help with Jacob’s ongoing rehabilitation. 

Island Park is located behind the Tonw Hall building on Main Street.  Plenty of free parking avaialble behind the Town Hall building and the Village of Williamsville Library.
